KovixNZ Terms & Conditions
This document sets out the terms and conditions that apply to any online retail sale at kovixnz.com (“Purchase”).
- Definitions
1.1. In these terms and conditions, references to “us” or “our” are references to KovixNZ; and references to “you” or “your” are references to the purchaser of products at Kovixnz.
1.2. The following terms shall have the following defined meanings:
“GST” means goods and services tax chargeable in accordance with the Goods and Services Tax Act 1985;
“KovixNZ” means KovixNZ Ltd, trading as Kovix Locks.
- Acceptance of these Terms and Conditions
By making a purchase, you accept and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
- Delivery and Purchases
3.1. KOVIXNZ will use all reasonable endeavors to ensure any product advertised by us online or in other publications will be available for purchase. Despite our best efforts, from time to time errors or omissions may occur in relation to our product offerings. KOVIXNZ reserves the right to reject a purchase or order, correct pricing, product details or availability.
3.2. KOVIXNZ will use reasonable endeavours to arrange delivery of your Purchase in accordance with the timelines published on the Shipping Rates page of our website. The delivery costs for your Purchase are noted on our website (in the case of online Purchases) or will be notified to you at the point of sale.
3.3. KOVIXNZ reserves the right to amend or change shipping rates at any time without notice.
3.4. Please allow up to 7 days for delivery. Orders that do not arrive or are lost in transit will be investigated with the respective carrier. Please contact KOVIX New Zealand as soon as you are aware of non-delivery.
3.5. Items from your order are delivered in a single shipment. Your order will ship when every item in your order has arrived in stock. We endeavour to keep most items in stock however in the event we have to backorder a product on your behalf, we will contact you and advise an ETA.
3.6. Some products are shipped directly to you from our factory, dispatch is between 15-20 days and delivery to you will be 2-5 days thereafter. If we/our factory is unable to supply your chosen product, we will advise you and provide an ETA as soon as we are aware of the delay.
- Online Orders - Acceptance
Your order on our online store is an offer to us to purchase the relevant products. We will not accept your order until the time that you are e-mailed to confirm that the products you have ordered have been dispatched.
- Title, Risk and Possession
5.1. Title in your Purchase will pass to you when full payment is received by us.
5.2. If you Purchase online, your Purchase will be at your risk from the time you sign to accept delivery. Up until this time, the Purchase will be at our risk.
5.3. If you authorise either KOVIXNZ or a courier to deliver without requiring a signature to accept the delivery, you Purchase will be at your risk from the dispatch of your delivery (No claim will be accepted for delivery damage by either KOVIXNZ or the Courier)
- Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and Fair Trading Act 1986
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions affects your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act and the Fair Trading Act.
- Images Used in Promotions, Publications and Online
We try to ensure that accurate images are used on our website at all times, however, the equipment that you use to view our website can impact on the way the products look, including their color, size, texture and composition. Measurements provided on our website are approximate only and we would recommend viewing the products in our store to ensure that it meets your requirements.
- Purchaser’s Use and Compliance
You are solely responsible for compliance with all legislation, regulations, laws and rules that apply to the use of any Purchase.
- Credit Notes and Vouchers
Any issued credit notes, vouchers or reward points are not transferable for cash but may be used for Purchases within 12 months of issue. For further information relating to our rewards and points, please refer to our Rewards Terms and Conditions.
- Pricing
10.1. All prices listed are in New Zealand dollars and inclusive of GST.
10.2. Prices listed do not include freight or other delivery charges, unless stated otherwise.
10.3. If pricing is displayed incorrectly online, to the extent permitted by law, KOVIXNZ will not honor the inaccurate price and will reject or suspend any orders or purchases.
10.4. If we discover pricing is incorrect, KOVIXNZ will make all reasonable attempts to contact you and ask you if you wish to continue with your order at the correct price.
- Promotional Pricing
11.1. From time to time promotional pricing will be available online.
11.2. Promotional pricing will be clearly displayed allowing you to make informed decisions.
11.3. Rewards members may be entitled to exclusive offers and prices.
11.4. Rewards customers’ exclusive discounts will not apply in conjunction with promotional pricing.
- Warranties
12.1. KOVIXNZ will honor any manufacturer’s warranty (by repairing, replacing or refunding the product, at KOVIXNZ’s sole discretion) for 3 months following Purchase or for the duration of the manufacturer’s warranty, whichever is longest.
12.2. The warranty given in clause 12.1 will not apply if you alter, deliberately damage or misuse your Purchase in any way.
12.3. The warranty at clause 12.1 does not affect or limit any rights that you may have under the Consumer Guarantees Act in relation to your Purchase.
12.4. Where these Terms and Conditions relate to the sale of electrical goods, KOVIXNZ warrants that KOVIXNZ will comply with the Electricity (Safety) Regulations, or any other relevant legislation applicable at the time.
- Third Party Websites
KOVIXNZ may direct you to third party websites. KOVIXNZ is not responsible for any information displayed on these websites.
- Privacy
14.1. All personal information provided by you in relation to your Purchase will be held by KOVIXNZ in accordance with its obligations under the Privacy Act 1993. You can contact KOVIXNZ at info@kovixnz.com should you wish to view or correct the personal information which we hold about you.
14.2. KOVIXNZ collects your personal information to fulfill your order and provide benefits in relation to our rewards, credits and accounts.
14.3. KOVIXNZ will not provide your personal information to third parties for any other purpose other than order and delivery fulfillment.
14.4. If you opt in when placing an order, KOVIXNZ may send you information regarding its products and services.
- Overseas Orders and Users
15.1. KOVIXNZ delivers to New Zealand only, unless otherwise agreed to by KOVIXNZ. Orders placed for overseas addresses may be rejected, or, alternatively, we may contact you to obtain an alternative New Zealand address.
15.2. Our website is operated from New Zealand. The information contained on our website may not be appropriate in other countries or in other jurisdictions. If you choose to access our website from somewhere other than New Zealand, you do so of your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with any applicable laws of that jurisdiction.
- Returns
Returns due to change of mind may be accepted at our discretion within 7 days of purchase. Please refer to our Returns Policy for further information.
- Payment
17.1. Payment for purchases must be made in New Zealand currency only.
17.2. Purchases online must be by VISA, Mastercard or Reward points.
- Limitation of Liability
18.1. To the maximum extent permitted by law, without restricting the limitations and exclusions of liability contained elsewhere in these terms and conditions and subject to clause 18.2, our liability in relation to the supply of the products and the products themselves is limited to the purchase price of the products in respect of which such liability arises. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we have no further liability or responsibility for any direct, indirect or consequential injury, loss or damage whatsoever and howsoever arising.
18.2. Without restricting the limitations and exclusions of liability contained elsewhere in these Terms and Conditions, to the maximum extent permitted by law we are not responsible for any damage whatsoever caused either to the goods supplied or as a result of the malfunction of the goods if in our reasonable opinion:
(a) The goods are fitted by unqualified tradespersons or are fitted in an unprofessional manner; or
(b) The goods are adapted to a use or which they are not specifically intended; or
(c) The goods are added to or repaired using components not recommended by us or by the manufacturer;
or
(d) The goods are improperly stored or transported.
- Force Majeure
KOVIXNZ shall not be liable to the Purchaser for any loss or damage directly or indirectly arising out of on in connection with any delay in delivery or where failure to deliver is outside KOVIXNZs reasonable control.
- Variation
We reserve the right to vary these Terms and Conditions in our absolute discretion without notice. The Terms and Conditions that apply to you are those which are current and in force at the time of your Purchase.
Delivery and Shipping
Normal Delivery times
We will normally send your order from 27 Cross St, Auckland Central. Some online products are not stocked in NZ, and these products will be sent directly from our factory in China.
Transit times are below. These are estimates only and can be affected by weather, holidays or factors outside of our control.
- North Island (2-3 working days)
- North Island Rural and islands (3-5 working days)
- South Island (2-3 working day)
- South Island Rural and islands (3-5 working days)
- Items sent directly from factory (15-20 working days).

Indicative Shipping Costs While Browsing
To help you determine the estimated product cost (including shipping) for a given product, we provide indicative shipping prices based on the entered qty and postcode.
The actual shipping price based on all products in the total order will be calculated at checkout based on your location and post code.
Shipping Rates Guidelines For Delivery
Standard/Less than 3kg Items: $10
Items over 3kg: $20
Items over 10kg: $40
Shipping Rates Guidelines For Outer Island Delivery
- Waiheke Island will incur an additional charge of $22.50
- Please contact us to discuss delivery to Outer Island locations such as Great Barrier, Stewart Island and Chatham Islands.
Special location delivery charges
We deliver to most locations in New Zealand. Our couriers and freight forwarders charge an additional fee to deliver to the following locations and we have to pass on that fee.
- Waiheke Island
- Chatham Islands
- Stewart Island
- Great Barrier Island
Once you order, we will contact you to confirm the exact shipping charge for these locations.
International Delivery and Postal Boxes
Sorry, we only deliver to New Zealand and cannot deliver to PO Boxes. Although we are happy to send your order to your freight forwarder or shipping agent within New Zealand.
